Bucks
To be a buck at RFR, you have to go under careful scrutiny. You must have excellent conformation including V shaped horns, grow consistent mohair head to tail to toe, have a low micron, fantastic coverage, produce incredible curl and style, and have a wonderful personality. This ensures that all bucks here at RFR are worthy of passing on their genetics.

Our bucks are evaluated at 12 months, 18 months, and 24 months. Those not meeting or exceeding our criteria are wethered. After they reach two years of age, those bucks that have passed our evaluation criteria get to stay bucks.

RFRA Uhtred
(MMO Lady Sif x CN2 Maverick)
DOB 4/15/2022

Uhtred has been one of our primary herdsires now for the past two years and has done an extraordinary job!
Producing gorgeous kids in a range of colors with his characteristic coverage and blue eyes, he is a once in a lifetime buck. Not only does he have it all (heavy fleece and coverage, low micron, consistent tight curls, perfect conformation, etc.) he also has the most docile personality. He is a true showstopper.
His micron tested at this spring shearing was 25.6 and his comfort factor was 83%.

RFRA Rhysand
(RFRA Godiva x LYKK Odin)
DOB 4/13/2024

Meet Rhysand, a striking black buck already showing all the promise of an exceptional herdsire. With a strong, well-balanced frame and a sleek, jet-black fleece, Rhysand is a standout in the pasture and sure to pass on his bold coloring and excellent conformation.
His pedigree is rich in color genetics—his dam is a deep chocolate brown, and his sire is a solid black buck with an incredibly low micron.
Rhysand is sweet-natured, curious, and developing into a confident young buck. Whether you’re looking to add color, quality, or a touch of elegance to your herd, this handsome boy checks all the boxes.

RFRA Velaris
(HGF Josephine x RFRA Leif)
DOB 4/14/2024

Say hello to Velaris, a stunning dark brown buck with a bright white star on his forehead and a charming bracelet marking on his leg. This boy is the full package: striking good looks, a sweet and friendly personality, and impeccable genetics to back it all up.
Velaris boasts perfect conformation and is already showing the strong, powerful build of his sire, who we’ve chosen to retain for our own breeding program. His deep chocolate coat is not only a highly desirable color, but it also comes with fine, soft mohair thanks to both parents’ low micron counts.
With show-quality lineage on both sides and a temperament that makes him a joy to be around, Velaris is destined to be a standout herdsire. If you’re looking to add color, fiber quality, and solid genetics to your herd, Velaris is your guy.

RFRA Hermès
(RFRA Jubilee x LYKK Odin)
DOB 4/12/2024

Hermès may be the cutest buckling in the bunch—sweet, flies under the radar, and is a total gentleman—but don’t let his sweet demeanor fool you. This boy is growing into a gorgeous, well-built buck with perfect conformation and eye-catching black spotting on a clean white coat.
Hermès is also a color carrier, making him a valuable addition to any breeding program. His sire is a no-pattern black, meaning Hermès could contribute to either the patterned or solid color pools—opening up exciting possibilities for producing colorful and unique offspring.
Hermès comes from exceptional bloodlines and being a white color-carrier, he is the fastest way to improve your herd!

Wethers

Bucks that are not fit to be herd sires are wethered and become the perfect fiber producers. They are very steady and calm as they do not experience rut and have fantastic personalities. Wethers are sold in groups of 2 or more.
RFRA Hercules

DOB 4/16/2024

Strong, striking, and built like his namesake, Hercules is a robust jet-black wether with an impressive presence.
What sets Hercules apart is his deep, unfading black fleece—a rare treasure for fiber artists seeking true black mohair. His fleece is already showing a heavy yield with a looser curl, making it an ideal choice for spinners who want texture, depth, and rich color straight off the animal.
If you’re looking to add a powerhouse fleece producer to your fiber flock, Hercules is your guy—solid, striking, and full of promise.

DOB 4/14/2023

Harlow is the kind of goat that steals your heart—and then leans in for a hug. This stunning wether has a calm, affectionate nature and a beautiful red color that makes him a standout in the pasture and in the fiber basket.
His mohair is soft, lustrous, and ideal for hand-spinning, with a rich, warm hue that fiber artists will love working with. Harlow’s temperament makes him a joy to handle, whether you’re shearing his fleece or just enjoying his gentle company.
If you’re looking for a peaceful presence in your pasture and a reliable producer of top-quality red mohair, Harlow is your perfect match.

RFRA Hendrix

DOB 4/14/2023

Smooth, stylish, and effortlessly cool--Hendrix is the red wether with personality to spare. With his charming demeanor and laid-back attitude, he’s the kind of goat everyone falls in love with.
Like his pasture buddy Harlow, Hendrix produces stunning red mohair that’s soft, silky, and perfect for spinning. His fleece carries a rich, vibrant tone and a texture fiber artists dream of, making him a valuable addition to any fiber-focused flock.
Whether he’s chilling in the pasture or hanging out with his buddies, Hendrix brings personality, color, and quality to the herd.

Does

After extensive scrutiny, we have gone through the does and determined which ones either no longer fit in our breeding program or we have too many of their genetics or color. We have a wide variety available from patterns to solids, from show-quality to fiber arts. All does are sold in groups.
Group 1 - Cafe au Lait

These two stunning girls are the perfect mixture of light and dark PLUS they are totally unrelated. Both from incredible bloodlines, these two does bring coverage, color, and personality.

Enya is a doe that we are constantly on the fence about. She is gorgeous and produces even more beautiful mohair. Perfect for Santa beards. She has perfect conformation and a wonderful personality.

Madora we are only selling because we have her mom who just had an incredible doeling this spring. Madora has that rare, chocolate brown color, a mohair tail, and makes incredible mohair. She does have an underbite which her mom does as well however, her mom's doeling does not. So if bred to a buck that does not have it, her kids should have a normal bite. She comes from incredible showlines.

Group 5 - The Femininomenon

This pair would be perfect on a smaller farm with a hand spinner or for somebody wanting to bring new bloodlines into their breeding program. Moira Rose and Babette come from coveted showlines. We bought a group of does from Higher Ground Farm and these two have been sitting on the backburner so they deserve to go to their own farm.

Babette is a beautiful black doe with white spotting. We've been on the fence with her but we have so many gorgeous up and coming does that we have to make some tough decisions. She produces loads of glamorous mohair and has excellent conformation.

Moira Rose is a strong, well-built doe with a lovely golden color. She produces loads of mohair perfect for any fiber artist.

  • We put a lot of time, love, and money into our goats. It is very important to us that our goats do not fall on hard times when they go to their new home. For this reason, we ask that you have the ability and means to provide adequate shelter, proper nutrition including quality feedstuffs such as hay, feed, and minerals, standard goat husbandry practices, and safe fencing to keep the goats in and predators out.
  • If you use the auction/slaughter route or Craigslist to sell goats, please do not buy our goats. If you dehorn your angora goats, please do not buy our goats.
  • We do not sell single does. All does must be purchased in pairs. Wethers must be purchased as a pair or with a buck.

Goats are registered with the Colored Angora Goat Breeder's Association (CAGBA). All of our goats are micron tested. Because we go the extra mile to test our goats, you will find they are priced accordingly.
